Our History

Kavod International Church was founded on August 4, 2022 by Henderson and Glory Kautsi. The first congregation gathered on 25th September 2024 at Khumula Primary School, Lilongwe. Today the Headquarters is at Hasadiah Temple is in Area 38, Lilongwe at a land which was given as a gift by the founding couple. The revelation came from the book Matthews 5:16, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven” (ESV).

God showed them the main challenge that the Christian community has been facing for centuries which is failure for unbelievers to glorify God because of nasty deeds and scandals done by the so called Holy Spirited Christians/Christian leaders. Therefore, Kavod Internation Church was born to bring back the saltness of the church in terms of good works done by the Christians with a generational impact. Kavod is a Hebrew name which means Glory to God. Many Christian Leaders today they are now receiving the glory that was supposed to go to God and later they are found with dark secrets though having big churches.

It is this premise that prompted Bishop Henderson Kautsi and Pastor Tendai Kautsi to start Kavod International Church. To day it has 10 branches 2 in Mozambique and 8 branches in Malawi. In 2023 Kavod School of Discipleship and Evangelism was born with the aim of training Christian Leaders on how they can make disciples of Jesus Christ effectively in their communities.

Ministry Departments

a. Woman of Virtue and Impact (WOVI)

We believe that both Men and Women were created in God’s image and likeness (Gen. 1:26-27). Both sinned and fell short of the glory of God in the garden of Eden (Gen. 3:1-10). We believe that Jesus coming to seek and save the lost in Luke 19:10 means that both men and women were saved and that they both enjoy the grace of God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that the first person to preach about Jesus’ resurrection was a woman (Matt. 28:1-8). We believe that the women have the responsibility to preach the Gospel. We believe that the woman and the man both were created to complement each other and not compete with each other in all areas of life because the woman was created as a suitable helper for the man. Our women’s ministry philosophy is taken from the book of Proverbs 31 which defines a Woman of Virtue and Impact (WOVI). A woman who eases her husband/ ministry from pressure because of her skills to provide “suitable helper “services.

b. Youth of Vision and Impact (YOVI)

Our Youth Ministry is called “Youth of Vision and Impact” (YOVI) according to Acts 2:14-18 which says, “your young men shall see visions.” We believe that in order for the body of Christ to grow it is necessary to invest in the young people because they see visions. Teaching young people in the church to grow in their relationship with the Lord can prepare them to serve Christ in all they do. As a result, this nurtures the congregation and allows the church to flourish. We believe that investing in the Youth will make them live a life of purpose and the one that pleases God. God utilize young people to do great things. For example, God used Timothy to pastor and lead the Ephesian church when he was still young (1 Timothy 4:12, NIV). We believe that when the youth feel engaged and inspired by their church experience, it sets the stage for a lifetime of faith.

C. Kingdom Kids (KiKi)

Our children’s ministry is called “Kingdom Kids” and its philosophy comes from Psalms 78:1-8. According to the “Motto” of Kavod International Church which is “Impacting Generations”, we believe that God is also more interested with the next generation as He is with the present. This means that Children’s Ministry is the Key for achieving the Church goals as well as fulfilling the Church’s vision. Abraham was chosen and told to direct His children by doing right before God (Gen 18:19). Jesus told the disciples to allow the children to come to him because the Kingdom of God belongs to them (Mark 10:14). Timothy come to have faith Because he was taught God’s word since childhood by his mother and grandmother (2 Tim 1:5). Therefore, we believe that by teaching the children God’s word will result in next generation to trust God, will keep His commandments and will ultimately pass on this trust and obedience to their children.
