KAVOD RELIEF AND DEVELOPMENT AGENCY (KARDA)
Kavod International Church (KIC) believes in caring for the poor, the disadvantaged and during emergency response according to Psalm 82:3 which says, “Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.” The efforts done to meet human needs includes; education empowerment, disease alleviation, access to clean water, food insecurity and childhood malnutrition.
Education empowerment

KIC believes in education because Moses, a prominent figure in church history was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was powerful in speech and action (Acts 7:22) and Apostle Paul was educated at the feet of Gamaliel (Acts 22:3). We believe that education reduces poverty, improves health, strengthens societies, and builds self-reliance. In order to achieve this Kavod International Church work with partners on various scholarship programs to help individuals obtain secondary, post-secondary education and ministry related trainings and also helping partnering institutions which learning and teaching resources. The church also plans to introduce Kavod (Pvt) Schools which shall comprise of Early Childhood Development Centres, Primary Schools, Secondary Schools and Kavod University.
Food Insecurity (Feed the Hungry program)

During His ministry, Christ fed the hungry (Matt. 14:16). The Psalmist said, “He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. Paul says, “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; … (Rom.12:20). KIC strives to emulate the Christ’s example of addressing hunger by partnering with trusted organizations to distribute food to those in need. The church has also introduced church farms in all its mission centers which are stored in “Bishop’s Storehouse”. Livestock production (Poultry and pig production) has been introduced to other mission centers in order to deal with protein deficiency (Kwashiorkor) which is common among children in Malawi with 20 000–32 000 children treated every year with a prevalence of 2·5% in children aged 1–3 years. KIC plans to partner with other organizations to distribute RUTF – peanut butter paste locally known as “Chiponde” to children attending ECD centers.
Health Care and Mobility Support

It is God design to have all people in good health (3 john 1:2). “The Lord sustains him on his sickbed; in his illness you restore him to full health” (Psalm 41:3). KIC believes that it is challenging for people facing health problems to participate in school, work, the community, or family life. Therefore KIC is committed to care for those with physical ailments and disabilities by working with other humanitarian organizations to provide health care and mobility support through wheelchair donations, maternal and newborn care, psychosocial support, and vision care. KIC plans to introduce Kavod Community Health care centers in order to fulfil our Lord’s mandate.
Emergency Response

We Mobilize resources with partnering organizations for Mission centers to promote mental, emotional, spiritual and physical health, mobilizing leaders in articulating biblical guidelines on justice, utilize rescue strategies and leverage on existing platforms of advocacy for vulnerable and disadvantaged members of the society, during natural and Man –made disasters. We help the affected communities receive temporal and emotional relief from the Church, so that they can overcome crises, rise above disasters, and build new life. The Church also works with local government to address the needs of citizens during emergencies and other crises.
